about
us
NARPO is a rank free
association of retired police officers which is dedicated to improving
benefits for all their members. NARPO are founder members of the Public
Service Pensioners Council which represents the views of well over one
million pensioners in the public sector. Through this body they have
access to representation to many government departments. They liaise, both formally and
informally with the Police Staff Associations and through them are a
voice heard on the Police Negotiating Board in respect of pension
matters. NARPO constantly campaign to maintain police pensions and seek
improvements in all benefits relating to retired people.
In common with all other
local branches, membership of the London Branch enables access to the
full range of NARPO services and will provide extra help and assistance
to individual members facing problems arising out of their services or
their pensions. Through their quarterly magazine,
London Police Pensioner, the London Branch advertises regular meetings
and other activities to ensure that former police officers can keep in
touch with friends and colleagues from their service days.

some
benefits
NARPO has negotiated a
number of special deals on insurances for home, car, health etc, from
their own insurance brokers who are continually looking to offer the very
best quality insurances at the most competitive rates. Similarly they have negotiated travel
discounts, bringing not only special offers to members but all year round
discounts on every type of holiday.
If you are
a retired police officer and are not a member of NARPO, why not join and
recover your low annual membership fee, which is automatically deducted
from your pension, by taking up some of the member services offered? If you join our branch you will enjoy
the additional benefit of receiving for free our superb quarterly
magazine, the London Police Pensioner.
